Know when a canvas helps

A canvas is useful when its structure helps someone make one decision and every number can be traced to fresh source data.

Canvases are interactive artifacts that render next to Agent chat. Ask for a dashboard, analysis, audit or report when a structured view will make one decision easier. Agent adds a card to the response, and you can also run Open Canvas from the Command Palette or open a canvas tab in the Agents WindowCursor's surface listing your agent runs; open a run to read its diff and search transcripts from the command palette. Press Enter for the full definition.. Each canvas is saved in the workspace list. You can reopen it, edit its source, ask Agent to revise it or rerun its data. If numbers look stale, rerun the underlying query or ask Agent to show its work. Publish creates a team-visible snapshot. Sharing needs a paid plan, team membership, an enabled admin setting and a privacy mode that allows data storage. The published view does not replace the lockfile, command output or pull request.
