BugbotCursor's automated PR reviewer that posts inline findings and can push fix commits from isolated VMs. Press Enter for the full definition. can read repository review rules from .cursor/BUGBOT.md. The same principle applies: keep shared review instructions in a file the team can inspect and change through git.
services/payments/AGENTS.md is nested, area-scoped and version-controlled
# Payments service rules - All money is int cents; never float. - Every new endpoint requires a contract test + an idempotency key. - No new outbound network calls without an entry in ALLOWED_EGRESS.md. - Follow the repository pattern; controllers must not import the DB client. - Example to imitate: see charges/create_charge.py
A rule asks the agent to follow these requirements. Cursor's hardening guide says to treat rules as suggestions, so hooks and the sandbox, covered in the controls section below, are what enforce them.
