Connect Linear, Slack and Notion to Cursor: Setup Steps

Two mechanisms, and knowing which one you are in saves a lot of clicking. Linear, Slack and Notion are Cloud Agent integrations, so connecting them also means completing Cloud Agent setup. Four steps from the integrations dashboard. The team selection in step three matters: it decides which Linear team the agent can be reached from.

3. 3Authorize your Linear workspace and select a team.
4. 4Complete Cloud Agent setup: connect a repository provider, enable usage-based pricing, confirm privacy settings.

Once connected you have two intake routes: delegate a Linear issue to Cursor, or mention @Cursor in a Linear comment to start a Cloud Agent from the thread where the work is already being discussed.

After that, mention @Cursor in any channel with a prompt to start a Cloud Agent. Inside a thread that already has an agent, asking in natural language works - @Cursor start a new agent to fix the login bug - and so does @Cursor agent [prompt]. @Cursor help lists the full command set.

Notion is the exception: it is in beta and you set it up from Notion rather than from the Cursor dashboard. You will need a Cursor User API Key, which you create in the Cursor dashboard first.

3. 3Create a Cursor User API Key at cursor.com/dashboard/api and enter it into Notion.
4. 4Share the pages and databases the agent needs.

Two prerequisites that will stop you before step one: a Notion Business or Enterprise plan, and GitHub connected to your Cursor account. The integration itself is available to all Cursor users at no extra cost, and usage is billed like Cloud Agent usage. Once it is set up, @mention the agent in comments or assign tasks to Cursor from a task board.
