Does Cursor Have a Referral Program? No - It Was Discontinued
Cursor discontinued the referral program. New referral invites and referral rewards are no longer available, and saved referral links no longer grant discounts or rewards for new sign-ups. Credits you already received remain on your account and still apply to eligible charges the same way as before.

Why did Cursor discontinue the referral program?
Cursor gives one reason: increased levels of fraud. New referral invites and referral rewards are no longer available as a result.
This is the sort of change that ages badly across the web. Guides written while the programme was live still describe how to invite people, and those instructions now go nowhere. If a page tells you to generate a referral link, check the date on it.

What happens to referral credits I already earned?
They stay. If you already received referral credits, they remain on your account and you can apply them to eligible charges the same way as before. What you cannot do is earn new referral rewards or send new referral invites through the programme.
Shutting the programme did not reverse credits already issued. The change is to earning, not to your balance.
Can I still use a referral link I saved?
No. Referral links from the programme no longer grant discounts or referral rewards for new sign-ups. The link may still resolve, which is why this catches people out - it looks like it worked, and nothing is applied.
How can I get a discount on Cursor now?
Two routes remain, and Cursor names both on the same page. Neither replaces a referral reward, but the annual one is the larger of the two for most people.

The 20% figure lines up with Cursor's published seat pricing, where a Teams Standard seat is $32 per seat per month annually against $40 monthly. Per-model rates, which are the other half of what you actually pay, sit in models and pricing.

Start at cursor.com/dashboard/billing to review your subscription and billing history, since the balance question is often answered there. For anything the dashboard does not settle, contact support while signed in and include your account email and a short description of the issue.
